Ψ-Bench: Evaluating Persona-Sensitive Influencing in Persuasive Dialogues

Persuasion is a fundamental capability of conversational agents, yet how a listener’s persona shapes susceptibility to influence remains poorly understood. We introduce Ψ-Bench, a benchmark for evaluating persona-sensitive influencing in persuasive dialogues, where outcomes depend not only on the persuader’s strategy but also on the persona of the persuadee. Ψ-Bench enables systematic study of how large language models adapt persuasive strategies to different personas and how persona traits modulate attitude change, providing a controlled setting to measure persona-sensitive influence, strategy selection, and robustness across diverse interlocutors.
